and support was out there."

Karen called several churches looking for help for her son's girlfriend who was in a crisis pregnancy. No one could help. Church after church told her they did not have resources for that.

Until one church said: "There is a group called LI-V."

LI-V helped with housing. They connected her to a pregnancy resource center. They helped pursue jobs. And they became the friend Karen could call every single day.

Karen later joked about putting them in her will. Because when someone shows up for your family the way LI-V showed up for hers, gratitude does not have a ceiling.

This is why LI-V exists. Because there are Karens everywhere. And they just need someone to answer the phone.
