Get InvolvedHow to start a LI-V™ group
In the Post Roe v Wade world that we are so blessed by God to now be in, where our GA heartbeat legislation is in effect, and abortions are illegal once there is a detectable heartbeat, this means more than ever, that pregnant women need to see the church as the answer and go-to place for help. Our communities need to see a vibrant life ministry within the church. That is why we pray and educate and help churches start a Life Initiatives and Values (LI-V™) ministry.
Starting a LI-V™ ministry is very simple. The efforts start off with asking church leadership if you can start a Life Initiatives and Values/LI-V™ ministry as one of the ministries in the church. Have an assigned person (who would be the leader/s) who organizes monthly meetings at the same time on the same day once a month and hopefully in the same room each month. Church leaders just need to approve and the assigned person truly does the work.
We started off with 8 of us praying and hosting a pro-life leader in the community to speak once a month, and now we have 80-100 in attendance in each month.
These monthly meetings are truly a time of prayer, worship, to educate and equip. Educate and equip the body of believers on the sanctity of life issues from womb to tomb by giving updates on what is going on locally and nationally and hosting pro-life leaders like pregnancy resource leaders, post-abortion healing ministries, and more in the community to come share.
The second role of LI-V™ is to help pregnant moms/families with BOTH PRE and POST natal care by helping with childcare needs, finding a car, rides to doctor appointments, meals, help with rent and just being a friend. We take them to lunch, become friends, disciple and so much more……a practical side of the ministry with real help, and this also involves being a safe, loving, hope-giving place for all with an abortion experience.
More than ever as we are so blessed to be now living in a post Roe v Wade world, the church is the place for the community to see that the pro-life community cares and has a special ministry in each church to educate and equip the body of believers and engage them in being a part of the solution and ALSO giving real hope and real help to women and men with post-abortion experiences, in a crisis or unwanted or unplanned pregnancy and so much more.
We organize groups to pray outside the Marietta Planned Parenthood and do outreach and we do pro-life movie watch parties. We do outreach training for ministry outside the Marietta Planned Parenthood.
We pray for there to be a LI-V™ leader at each church and for there to be a pastor who supports and signs off on the start of and creation of a LI-V™ ministry and to share about from the pulpit and put on the church website, too.
We encourage you to start a LI-V™ ministry at your church or in your area and have resources to help you do that.
Please contact us to find out how easy it is. One option is to join our monthly meetings at First Baptist Church of Woodstock.
